Last week I had the pleasure of participating in an NCHRP panel for a technology transfer primer. We met to put the RFP together for the solicitation. It was an interesting process. I enjoyed it very much. We will meet again, once or twice, to complete the support of the project.I had some time in DC to look around. I always enjoy that. I had dinner with two very dear friends: Lisa and Cortney. I went to yoga with Cortney. I also met an LTAP'er Jason. It was all very nice.
On the last day, my flight left rather late and I witnessed a robbery at a chain department store. It seemed as though the clerk helped. I sent an email to the chain to tell them what I saw. I felt good to tell them.
The flight home was quite empty. I had three seats to myself. I cannot remember the last time I had three seats to myself on a plane. I had a nice nap.
We went camping the next night, our first time. It rained like crazy and thunder & lightening. I slept between raindrops. It was a tough drive home from NY the next day.
I start school again on Saturday. I am dreading it. I'm feeling a little burned out from taking too many classes last year. I won't do that again this year. Whew! It was a mistake in judgement but at least it's behind me. What I can say about the class I start this week is the professor has a fantastic reputation, plus I know two others in the class who will be very good to work with. I've also started the reading an it's very interesting.
